What are the advantages and disadvantages of having only a child in the family?

Advantages

1. Having one child in the family means that parents will not have to take care of more than 1 child,pay less and have more quiet times.
2. The child will be able to get all the attention from his/her parents
3. Do not have to fight over things with his/her siblings

Disadvantages

1. The child would not have a brother/sister to fight with, play with, laugh with or perhaps a sibling to confide in.
2. The child will feel sad whenever he hear from his/her friends about how much fun hey had with their siblings.
3. Since the child does not have any siblings, he/she will not learn to share things with others.As a result, the child will slowly become a selfish person when he/she grows up.
